FLEXIBLE, CUSTOMIZED INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

HD Supply Plumbing/HVAC can help simplify the inventory management process through our AIM value-added service. From electronically gauging stock quantities to automatic replenishment, HD Supply can alleviate much of the burden of handling inventory. Best of all, you decide just how much.

This flexible program enables you to customize the service we provide. We work closely with you to understand your needs and determine how our capabilities can best serve you. We provide you with your purchasing history to assist in choosing appropriate products for AIM, as well as minimum and maximum stocking levels.

The AIM Process works like this:

  1. Using an electronic remote data collection device, a HD Supply delivery driver or salesperson scans the bar codes on your selected stock bins and later uploads the information into the HD Supply Inventory Management system. You may also choose to have one of your staff members use the device for scanning stock bins and then hand it off to a HD Supply Sales Associate for uploading to the system.
  2. The system checks current stocking levels against your pre-determined thresholds.
  3. If inventory is below the established threshold, HD Supply either sends you a purchase order to review and modify if necessary, or automatically ships product to the warehouse.
  4. Once the system is in place, we continually review your sales history with you and also analyze exceptions (i.e. storm stock) to determine if any changes are needed to meet demand.
